What is the Scene?
The Scene is bar and nightclub in Glendale dedicated to bringing our members the best possible prices on quality drinks, while providing great low cost entertainment as well. The Scene provides a wide variety of drinks at more than affordable prices, especially for the LA Marketplace. In addition we provide great entertainment from live DJ’s performing onstage, to cutting edge bands and established ones as well. Our goal is to be the most reasonably priced venue in Los Angeles while providing a warm atmosphere to our patrons. We are one of the only bars to offer DISCOUNTS DAILY ON DRINKS. We aren't in "Hollywood" and we don't charge those kinds of prices.
The History of the Scene
The Scene was started as club primarily dedicated to fostering new bands in the Los Angeles Area in 2002. Led by it initial founders Carl Lofgren, Dave Neupert, and Matthew Barney, the club enjoyed success as a haven for bands like the Bronx, the Melvins, 400 Blows, Circle Jerks, and the Silversun Pickups. However as we expand we are searching for even more types of entertainment to provide our members as well as offering great drinks at affordable prices.
Our philosophy is simple, keep costs down and pass the savings on to our members. In the ever changing LA market people are searching for a reasonably priced drink combined with a great venue for entertainment. That’s what the Scene offers its patrons, and especially its members. The Scene has recently expanded- Our occupancy is now up to 179, which means the shows are getting bigger, the bands are getting better, and our new sound system can blow out candles. We are open from 9pm to 2am, and have live music now just 3 nights a week, a nice lounge area in the back,a pool table, vintage video games, great drink specials, and voted best juke box in LA by Amoeba Records.
